Bachelor of Music Education (Vocal Emphasis) – University of South Dakota, Master of Music (Vocal Performance) – Roosevelt University. I have performed operatic and theatre roles with Thompson Street Opera Company, The Gilbert & Sullivan Opera Company, Folks Operetta among many more. I have directed music with The Second City, Otherworld Theatre, Chicago Fringe Opera, Opera on Tap, and with Twihard the Musical with which I was the composer and co-producer.

Brian Rasmussen is a multi-faceted educator with a passion for helping students reach their musical goals. With over 12 years of teaching experience, specializing in voice, Brian brings a technical prowess to his teaching while simultaneously making room for exploration and creativity. His approach is goal-oriented with an individualized approach to music education, tailoring his teaching style to meet the unique needs of each student. Brian approaches each lesson by uniquely balancing high-quality vocal instruction with an emphasis on technique and literacy, while simultaneously maintaining a fun, creative atmosphere.
Favorite Musicians:
Composer that had the most profound impact on me were John Williams and Stephen Sondheim. Their music was pivotal in my childhood and my education.
