Band Instrument Exploration 2026

Have a music-loving child who’s interested in band but not sure which instrument to play? Come try them all out! This fun introductory workshop is designed to give kids the chance to explore brass, woodwind, and percussion instruments and learn all about Merit’s strings programming. Get ready for faculty demonstrations, a lesson in the basics, and plenty of time to experiment with the different instruments at this hands-on, exploratory workshop.

Attendees new to Merit will have the opportunity to sign up for classes with a special 15% discount.

Required age: 9 – 12 years old on the day of the activity.
