Bio:
Sarah Forbes (Mitchener) is a flutist, vocalist, and pianist hailing from Memphis, Tennessee. A fellow Wildcat, she received her MM from Northwestern University in the spring of 2020.
She has performed solo and in orchestras across the United States and numerous cities in Germany and the Czech Republic.
Since graduating, Sarah has pursued her love of teaching and holds her Suzuki certification in both piano and flute. Sarah is passionate about empowering her students through music and finding ways to make music of all genres accessible and relevant to her students.
When she’s not teaching or performing, she enjoys cooking, baking, running, and spending time with her golden retriever Daisy.
Sarah is both honored and humbled to join the Merit team as the Piano, Voice, and Guitar Program Manager!
