Bio:

Frances Kennedy is a Chicago-based pianist and educator. As a classical pianist, Frances studies with Jeff Panko and Mary Sauer, former principal pianist of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. She manages the Early Childhood & General Music Department at the Merit School of Music and is a member of their piano faculty. Frances is a Steinway Educational Partner.

A native of Chicago, Frances began her piano studies at age five. She is experienced in the methodologies of both Orff and Kodaly and is certified in Music Together. Frances specializes in teaching diverse learners, specifically those with hearing loss.

Frances believes every student can benefit from the study of music. By exposing young learners to music, students listen, create, gain confidence, develop discipline and foster a lifelong love of the arts.
