A Conversation with The Foundation for Hearing & Speech Rehabilitation and Merit’s Sally Blandon

Merit School of Music is a proud partner of The Foundation for Hearing and Speech Rehabilitation’s (FHSR) Music to My Ears program.

Launched in 2019, the Music to My Ears program engages deaf/hard of hearing children through music classes, providing a year of tuition-free music classes for children up to four years of age. FHSR and Merit expanded the program in 2020 to include a school-based program where we work together to provide the music curriculum at Child’s Voice and tuition-free after-school music programming at Children of Peace/ Trinity School for the Deaf.

FHSR recently sat down with Merit School of Music’s Sally Blandon, Early Childhood & General Music Program Manager and Lead Teacher & Program Coordinator for the Music to My Ears’ school-based programs.
