Bio:

Originally from Russia, Dr. Elena Doubovitskaya performed her piano debut recital in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall in 2002, followed by engagements in the United States, China, Canada, Germany, Austria, Italy, the Czech Republic, and Russia. Her performances were heard on WFMT in Chicago as well as radio stations in Canada and Netherlands.

Dr. Doubovitskaya’s accomplishments include performances at the East West Music Festival in Germany, Tanglewood Music Festival in Massachusetts, and Prague International Piano Master among others. As a chamber musician, she performs with Chicago-based EStrella Piano Duo and contemporary ensemble Lakeshore Rush.

As an accomplished piano teacher, Dr. Doubovistkaya is frequently invited to judge competitions in the Chicago metropolitan area. In addition, she presented a master class in piano pedagogy at the Second Annual Pre-College Piano Symposium at the Florida State University School of Music.

Her students often participate in local and state competitions and receive the highest placements and awards. Dr. Doubovitskaya currently serves as Piano Department Chair at the Merit School of Music in Chicago.
