Anna Kovalevska

Bio:
Anna Kovalevska began her piano studies when she was five years old in her home country of Ukraine. She came to the United States in 2010 after receiving a full graduate assistant-ship in accompanying to obtain her Artist Diploma at Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, PA). After graduating, she was invited to join Duquesne University as a staff collaborative pianist. While living in Pittsburgh, Anna was an active opera pianist, piano teacher, and an organist at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Both as a piano soloist and in duet with Yuting Zhou, Anna has won several prizes in numerous national and international piano competitions in Europe and the US. In 2009, she was awarded a stipend from President’s fund “Ukraine” for her musical talents.
Anna moved to Chicago in the fall of 2017 and currently serves as a collaborative pianist at DePaul university and as an organist at First Congregational Church (Des Plaines, IL). She teaches in English, Ukrainian and Russian.
