He teaches students of all ages and backgrounds with a focus on inclusive and culturally responsive approaches. His work with organizations like Trala and Ravinia’s Reach-Teach-Play reflects his passion for accessible, community-based music education. Rasa has also performed with orchestras across the U.S. and collaborated with ensembles that spotlight underrepresented musical traditions. Through the Mahsu Duo, he presents recitals that blend classical and global repertoire. He continues to explore diverse musical styles, especially Middle Eastern, South Asian, and Eastern European traditions, and believes in learning about people through their music.
Favorite Musicians:
Jordi Savall is not only an incredibly skilled viol player, but he is also able to connect the music in a very moving way with its historical background and he tells the story in such a way that already very old music sounds like it has just been made and is still being played today.
