Whether your child is 4 or 18 years old, a beginner or looking to refine their skills, Merit School of Music’s group classes and ensembles will help unlock their full musical potential.
Our group classes, also known as our Instrumental & Vocal Music Program, provide beginning and intermediate level youth musicians with the opportunity to grow through music.
Our small group environment provides ample opportunity for group learning and individual support from Merit’s celebrated faculty—some of the best music educators in the region. Band, strings, and voice students also have the option to join a large ensemble—allowing student musicians to learn in a bigger group, strengthen teamwork skills, and gain experience performing in unison.
Students build instrumental technique, musical knowledge, and musical skills, all while maturing personally and educationally. Music classes accelerate cognitive development, give kids and teens a creative outlet, and the opportunity to forge friendships with music-loving peers from across Chicagoland.
