Merit School of Music is a celebrated music school with classes, lessons, and programming for strings, band, voice, guitar, and piano student musicians of all ages and experience levels. While we normally make music together at the Joy Faith Knapp Music Center in Chicago’s West Loop, we temporarily moved our classes online for the safety of our students and their families.
During the first year of the pandemic, our shift to online learning led to musical breakthroughs in a time when we all needed the patience, comfort, and community provided by music education.
