Northwestern University, BA in English Literature
Bio:
Talar Khosdeghian is the Director of Student Services at Merit. She also serves as principal accompanist and General Manager for Chicago Chamber Choir, accompanist for William Ferris Chorale, Operations and Music Director for CHAI Collaborative Ensemble, and accompanist for Windy City Performing Arts.
Talar has performed as both a soloist and chamber musician in festivals around the world, including the Interharmony International Music Festival, the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, and the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival—in the end though, Chicago is home! She performs and coaches regularly throughout the Chicagoland area, and she is excited to join Merit in shaping the next generation of musicians.
When she isn’t on stage or behind the scenes, you can find Talar on the trail; she has backpacked through 14 of the nation’s 63 national parks (Isle Royale is next). On weekends, Matthiessen State Park is her favorite Chicagoland go-to!
