Born and raised in Chicago with a soft spot for Europe, Paula has been teaching piano for 11 years now. She teaches music theory and history, accompanying, leading summer music camps in Wisconsin, and she’s traveled to Europe and Australia for music exchange programs with students. Paula always pushes her students to do more than is required: an extra duet, an extra concert during the year, memorization, a music competition.
My favorite classical musician is Frederic Chopin. But when driving, I love listening to movie soundtracks by Hans Zimmer, Patrick Doyle, Dario Marianelli, John Williams, Alexandre Desplat and more.
“Music is a second language and an escape. It teaches us to be more sensitive human beings, something this world will always need more of.”
