Meredith Richard

Bio:

Meredith Richard is the Individual Giving Manager at Merit School of Music. Meredith is a passionate social entrepreneur who believes strongly in the transformative power of music education.

Prior to joining Merit, she spent 8 years leading and growing Musical Empowerment, a music mentoring nonprofit based in North Carolina. She double-majored in business and music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and upon her graduation, she was hired as Musical Empowerment’s first Executive Director. She led the organization’s growth from a student organization at UNC-Chapel Hill to a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit with chapters on six college campuses. Meredith also served as the Vice Chair of the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) Triangle NC Board of Directors.

She is excited to be back in her hometown of Chicago, and continues to be involved with several nonprofit professional organizations throughout the Chicago area.

FAVORITE MUSICIAN:

Chris Thile. He is a phenomenal performer, able to captivate the audience for hours with just him and his mandolin on stage.
