As Individual Giving Manager, Emma supports the development team by cultivating stewardship and building the support of donors so that Merit can continue its mission in breaking down barriers that limit access to high-quality music education for Chicagoland children. A former Merit Conservatory student herself, Emma spent many years practicing, performing, and being part of the community at Merit. She is thrilled to be working for an organization that impacted her so deeply as a young person. Prior to joining the Merit team, Emma worked as the Manager of Strategic Engagement: Membership and Community Programs at Temple Sholom in Lakeview.

“As a former Conservatory student myself, I know the impact that Merit had on my confidence, leadership skills, and emotional growth as a young person while just as importantly, training my music skills. Merit’s structure, which looks at the student as a whole dynamic musician, rather than just a performer, is truly unique and transformative.”
