Bio:
Violist Ben Weber has been teaching violin and viola at the Merit School of Music for over 10 years. After participating in Merit’s Early Childhood classes with his daughter, he was excited to work more with younger children and pursued Music Together training. He is thrilled to be able to teach Early Childhood classes at Merit this summer.
An active performer, he is currently a violist with the Kontras Quartet. With them, he has performed all over the USA, including on the Tonight Show with David Letterman, and has also toured Switzerland and South Africa. Ben previously served as Principal Viola with the Rockford Symphony, Assistant Principal Viola with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and has played with many orchestras around the region.
