Andrew Zweibel is a musician, educator, and performing arts administrator based in suburban Chicago. He comes to Merit from Roosevelt University’s Chicago College of Performing Arts, where he served both on the administrative staff and as an adjunct member of the Music Education faculty. Andrew has also completed coursework at CCPA towards a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Administration.
Prior to his time at CCPA, Andrew spent 6-plus years leading successful high school band programs in Suburban Chicago (Glenbrook North HS) and South Florida (South Dade Senior HS). Andrew’s bands were consistently and widely regarded as outstanding and frequently earned local and statewide recognition for their successes. He also still serves as the Ensemble Director for the non-profit marching ensemble Chromium Winds, presented by The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Chromium is the 3-time defending Independent Open Class WGI Winds World Champions, and Andrew has five total WGI Winds gold medals to his name.
Andrew lives with his wonderful wife Jordan and their puppy Oliver. He spends most of his free time convincing Oliver to not eat every pair of shoes in the house.
