Claire Werling

Bio:
Claire Werling is an active orchestral clarinetist and teacher in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. She holds the 2nd and E-flat Clarinet position with the Illinois Philharmonic Orchestra, and she has also performed with the South Bend, Southwest Michigan, Northbrook, Racine, Peoria, and Lima Symphony Orchestras.
She is a clarinet instructor for Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire, Illinois where she holds a studio of 30+ students and leads both high school and middle school clarinet ensembles. She is also the clarinet instructor at Proviso Math and Science Academy through Merit’s MMiC program.
Her students have been accepted into all of Merit’s Conservatory ensembles, Midwest Young Artist, CYSO, and both ILMEA District and State Honor Bands.
